September, 16th 2019, Paris, France – Business continues to grow for training and simulation specialists, MASA Group. Extensions to existing contracts have been confirmed and new contract with the Spanish army has recently been signed, while the company is also developing in related markets. The company has welcomed three new team members since the beginning of the year.
MASA will use a range of events over the coming months, to showcase its Artificial Intelligence-based Modeling & Simulation (M&S) software and expertise for the defence market.
This commenced with the annual SOULT & SWORD user meeting Sept 10-13, Angers, France. MASA’s SWORD has been established with SOULT (the simulation program for Combined Forces and Ground Logistics Units’ Operations), for the operational preparation of Combined Forces at division, brigade, and battle group command posts since 2015. The user group will provide an opportunity for the French Army to discuss how SWORD is being used and the existing clients and prospects will have a chance to meet their peers and discuss use cases.
A similar gathering of users will take place in November with MASA’s strategic partner XVR, which is a leading supplier of first responder training solutions. MASA is becoming a key player in the delivery of civil forces preparedness in France and this event will be held to gather clients and prospects and discuss how XVR is being used by multiples public safety organizations in France.
MASA will also exhibit SYNERGY & XVR at Congrès National des Sapeurs-Pompiers (exhibition for Firefighters) during September 18-21 in Vannes, France. Meet with the XVR & MASA teams on booth C21 and learn more about the latest version of XVR on scene, including VR 2.0 and the possibility of creating customized environments. XVR is currently being used by the SDIS 44 (Firefighters from Loire-Atlantique) and ATMB (Mont-Blanc Tunnel).
Later that month the company will showcase SWORD on the CEISIM (Centre d’Expertise de l’Infovalorisation et de la SIMulation) booth during the NATO Computer Assisted Exercise (CAX) forum. MASA will also have the privilege to sponsor the event together with Nexter. This takes place September 24-26 in Paris.
MASA will use Milipol to cement its position in the homeland safety and security market. The company is now delivering 6 programmes in this sector around the world, notably including its recent work for R-GDS (an exercise simulating a gas explosion in urban areas was held for the natural gas network of Strasbourg). Milipol will take place on November 19-22 in Paris.
The year will conclude with the annual I/ITSEC exhibition and conference in Orlando, USA, where MASA will exhibit its full suite of training and simulation capabilities on stand 2858.
