Held in Melbourne from September 26^th-29^th, the SimTecT 2016 is Asia Pacific’s premier simulation conference for industry, government and academia.

In addition to MASA SWORD being showcased at the exhibition on YTEK’s booth, SWORD capacities will also be highlighted in one of the conferences.

Lieutenant-Colonel Martinez, Director at the JANUS Simulation Center (France Army Tactical Training Centre, which has been using SWORD for years) will deliver a speach on Preparing tomorrow’s Army leaders for demanding operational situations, and the role played by advanced automated simulation in their training: « Preparing tomorrow’s Army Leaders for demanding and wide ranging operational situations within dynamic and streamlined training environments is made possible by a transformative enterprise wide solution application approach and a new breed of fit-for-purpose, cost efficient and interoperable COTS solutions underpinned by advanced Artificial Intelligence based simulation technology« .

MASA to attend MilSim Asia

MASA Group, leading provider of artificial intelligence simulation solutions to over 15 countries worldwide, will showcase its flagship product MASA SWORD for the first time at MilSim Asia this week.

MASA Group, renowned worldwide for its innovative artificial intelligence-based simulation systems for training, analysis and decision support, will be exhibiting its automated wargame, MASA SWORD, at the inaugural MilSim Asia conference on 19 – 20 January 2016 in Singapore at Marina Bay Sands.

MilSim Asia is a gateway for companies to enter into the region’s rapidly developing defense markets, where training is a crucial aspect for growing armies. In recent years, MASA has focused on increasing its footprint in this key high-growth region; SWORD is already in use by the Bangladesh Army Training and Doctrine Command (ARTDOC) and the Singapore Defence Science and Technology Agency, as well as the New Zealand Army.

From July 20th to 22nd, MASA will take part in nucl.ai, the largest worldwide conference about Artificial Intelligence applications in interactive media, training & simulations, and digital entertainment.

MASA will particularly be active in the Agent Behavior track, with a conference on « Designing realistic behaviors for a military training simulation » presented by Newfel Messouci, AI developer and behavior designer at MASA.

From June 29th to July 3rd, MASA will take part in the « Plate-forme de l’Intelligence Artificielle » at the INRIA, in Rennes (France). Held every two years, this event gathers researchers, manufacturers and students in conferences and workshops on Artificial Intelligence.

There, MASA will present papers and articles on its R&D project OCTAVIA and will also conduct a workshop.

MASA to feature SWORD V6.0 at ITEC 2015

The latest version of MASA Group’s automated wargame solution for training or decision-support, MASA SWORD, will be unveiled at ITEC 2015. The company’s reputation for providing cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technology is further boosted by new customers in both the defense and the civil security sector.

With customers in 15 countries around the world, SWORD is rightly recognized as the world’s leading wargame with automated forces. The company has recently taken this capability a step further with the release of SWORD version 6.0. The range of new features included in this latest version is the result of a strong internal Research and Development effort that has been driven by a particularly close relationship with MASA’s growing customer base. SWORD v6 will be showcased for the first time at the ITEC exhibition and conference in Prague from 28-30 April 2015.

Paper presented at ICAART 2015

Next January at the 7th International Conference on Agents and Artificial Intelligence (ICAART 2015) in Lisbon, Juliette Lemaitre will present her paper “Towards a resource-based model of strategy to help designing opponent AI in RTS games”. Juliette is currently a PhD student at MASA Group and the Heudiasyc lab. She’s working on strategic behaviors in RTS games.

Of the 17,000 candidates in the European Business Awards, MASA is the only company specializing in decisional Artificial Intelligence and intelligent simulations to be officially acknowledged as an EBA National Champion

An exclusive event hosted by the British Embassy in Paris was held at the end of last year to honor the 30 French companies named National Champions by the European Business Awards. As part of this distinguished cluster, MASA CEO Juan-Pablo Torres and New Markets & Sales Manager, Enrico Raue joined eminent guests from across France to celebrate reaching this unique status. During the reception, MASA was presented with an official certificate marking the company’s success.
